The Torres Cape Indigenous Council Alliance
represents 10 of Queensland’s 16 Indigenous
local governments, as well as Torres Shire
Council, Cook Shire Council and Weipa Town
Authority. We operate as a collaborative
partnership of councils to represent the
common interests of local governing bodies
within the region.

Our mission is to foster cooperation and
resource sharing between member
councils and effectively advocate on
agreed regional positions and priorities.
